The rear side windows on the E-type and their chrome frames are very easy to remove.  You simply have to unscrew the rear locks for the window frame from the interior panel in the car. Then open up the window wide and you ave access to 5 set screws that hold the entire assembly to the B-post of the car. Support the window and frame, unscrew these set screws and remove the window, frame and hinge in one piece.  Presto!
