I was very happy that the MGA engine started and ran so well. So, how about the next step… would it actually drive? Well, the next day I had the time to roll it out, start it up and gingerly and slowly test things like the clutch, brakes and steering in the driveway. Everything seemed good. The car had insurance and valid registration… so finally I decided it was time to take it for a brief spin and see how strongly and straight it braked, how tight and straight it steered, and how well it shifted up and down the gears.
