The world famous Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance and many other associated events and auctions scheduled for mid-August 2020 have been cancelled due to the COVID-19 Pandemic. Information is still developing on the situation – but it will be a major economic blow to the Monterey Peninsula.

UPDATE – Concorso Italiano Cancelled –

According to an article in the Monterey Herald – the Classic Car Week brings in over 80,000 visitors and has an economic impact on the order of  $53 million. This brings in around $4.5 million in taxes.  A huge loss for the tourism industry in Carmel, Pacific Grove and Monterey.
